After my mother died in 2008 I decided, after some convincing by Adrian, to take the step building my own business making hand modelled ceramics. I had been staying in her hospital room during the last 4 days witnessing the deterioration. I knew then how precious life was and that we all need to follow our passions and develop our skills.

My mother-in-law wanted a pot to fit a corner in their hall, so I bought a bag of hand modelling clay and set to making her one. The satisfaction from that was over whelming!

After almost 10 years casting my own work and supporting my husband in his growing business; model and mould making for clients with or without slip cast production, I was utterly fed up with touching plaster moulds and casting fairly simple, white shapes.
